Effect of Weight Loss on the Level of Pro-inflammatory Cytokines Post Sleeve Gastrectomy among Obese Children and Adolescents
Introduction: There has been a growing concern about obesity worldwide.Obesity is clearly associated with pro-inflammatory state characterizes by the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines which the adipose tissue has a potential role in their production. Therefore an understanding of this association, along with its regulators - diet and weight patterns - may help in designing novel and effective intervention strategies for obesity an epidemic disease of the modern society. The aim of this study is to know the effect of weight loss post sleeve gastrectomy on the level of inflammatory mediators. A follow-up after 6 months post-surgery will be done and the data will be collected from patients to complete the study, this will help to explore recommendations that could serve patients and the community.
