BCH333 Experiments in Biophysical Biochemistry

Credit Hours: 2 (0+2)

Day & Time: Sunday - from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.(Building 8,firest floor)

Level/year at which this course is offered : Level 6/ third year

Grading and Evaluation:

  • In lab short quizzes weekly.
  • Midterms and final exam (writing and practical ).
  • Evaluation of lab reports

 

100 degree distributed as follows:

  • 20 degrees: quizzes
  • 10 degrees: reports
  • 20 degrees: the quarterly exam includes theoretical and practical questions.
  • 50 degrees: the final exam includes theoretical and practical questions

Expected from the student earned at the completion of the course:

  • To familiarize student with basic techniques in biochemistry.
  • To develop the students’ understanding of using basic equipment.
  • To develop the students’ appreciation of biochemistry as an experimental science supported by practical work.
  • To be able to perform different biochemical techniques used in separation and purification of biological molecules depending on their physical properties.
  • To be able to Writing reports and work as a team.
