- To understand the essential topics of biochemistry including biomolecules of proteins, nucleotides ,nucleic acids and enzymes and some minerals
- To make the student oriented with the physico-chemical basis of biological systems; and the related clinical problems.
 -To familiarize the students with basic principles of Molecular biology and protein synthesis.
 -To enable the student to be familiar with biotechnology methods and their clinical implications
 -To recognize the essential aspects and expressions concerning Microbial Genetics
