The main objective for studying econometric is the Verification of the applicability of the economic theories by measuring the phenomena and economic relations. That is to test economic theories by real data. Then we use this knowledge to assist in the decision-making and economic policies. Therefore, we will focus in this course on the construction and the follow up of what has been previously studied in the previous course (econ 416). In particular we will review the following topics: 1. model specification and the specification errors. 2. Regression on dummy variables. 3. Piecewise regression. 4. Auto-regressive distributed lag model. 5. Simultaneous equations. 6. Time-series analysis, which includes the following topics: the stability of variables and unit root tests. Causality. A Co-integration and error correction. An introduction to vector auto-regression. 7. Introduction to the Panel data and the recent trends in this regard.
يكمن الهدف الرئيس من دراسة الأفتصاد القياسي في مواجهة النظرية الأقتصادية بالواقع وذلك عن طريق: قياس الظواهر والعلاقات الاقتصادية. التحقق من مدى انطباق النظريات على الواقع أي إختبار النظريات. استخدام المعرفة التي تم التأكد من انطباقها ولو بصورة تقريبية على الواقع، للمساعدة في إتخاذ القرارات ووضع السياسات الاقتصادية. لذلك سنركز في هذا المقرر على البناء ومتابعة ما تم دراسته سابقاً في المقرر السابق (416قصد)، وعلى الأخص سيتم إستعراض الموضوعات التالية: 1- توصيف النموذج وأخطاء التوصيف. 2- الإنحدار على المتغيرات الصورية. 3- الإنحدار المجزاء. 4- نموذج الإنحدار الذاتي وفترات الإبطاء الموزعة. 5- المعادلات الأنية. 6- تحليل السلاسل الزمنية، وينتضمن الموضوعات التالية: إستقرار المتغيرات وإختبارات جذر الوحدة. السببية. التكامل المشترك ونموذج تصحيح الخطاء. مقدمة عن متجه الإنحدار الذاتي. 7- مقدمة عن البيانات المقطعية للسلاسل الزمنية والإتجاهات الحديثة في هذا الخصوص.
