Research&Accomplissements

The main research interests lie in the general area of physical chemistry and organic chemistry, with particular emphasis on the design of new catalysts and their applications in hydrocarbon transformations and polymers synthesis.

Catalysis

The production of industrial chemical intermediates from hydrocarbons (natural gas and petroleum such as, alcohols, carbonyl compounds and epoxides is a promising way for upgrading natural resources (Natural Gas and Oil). The design of efficient catalyst to transform hydrocarbons into more valuable chemicals is the key for the development of green, economic and efficient alternative processes.

Polymers

The synthesis of new polymers and their applications as membranes for separation of chemical compounds is an important research interest.
