Advanced PSG Scoring Course and Workshop

The Advanced Polysomnography Workshop is a two-day course designed to provide health professionals with broader and advanced knowledge and skills to effectively analyze and score unusual PSG manifestations. This is useful for individuals who aim to develop their expert skills in artifact correction, troubleshoot technical problems, scoring and interpreting sleep studies.

This course will equip participants with advanced skills to score and interpret:

  • Sleep Stages
  • Respiratory Events
  • EEG Arousals
  • Periodic Limb Movements
  • EMG and other movement disorders
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Test and Maintenance of Wakefulness Test
  • Polysomnography Hypnogram

Practical sessions will follow after each lecture through the use of record samples based or patterned from patients encountered.

It is preferable to have participants who had attended the four-day Polysomnography Course and Workshop or have some experience in conducting sleep studies.

Course Requirements:

Completing the pre-requisite USDC online modules is a must.

       M1: Introduction to Polysomnography and Sleep Physiology
       M2: Introduction to Sleep Disordered Breathing
       M3: Fundamentals of EEG and other Biopotentials
       M4: Principles of Recording Physiologic Signals
       M5: Monitoring Respiratory Events during Sleep
       M6: Polysomnography Recording Systems

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this course, candidates will be expected to be professional in scoring:

  • Sleep Stages
  • Respiratory Events
  • EEG Arousals
  • Periodic Limb Movements
  • EMG and other movement disorders
