RDS 313 Clinical Operative Dentistry I

This is the first clinical operative course that builds in the preceding principles and techniques already presented in the pre-clinical courses while expanding the area of diagnosis and treatment planning. Attention is given to efficient utilization of the clinical facilities and the need for proper patient record and clinical record systems. The students are expected to carry out simple restorative procedures under close staff supervision.

RDS 213 Pre-clinical Operative Dentistry

This course consists of two main components, the principles of cavity preparations for the currently available restoratives, their physical and manipulative characteristics and cavity restoration. They are provided by the RDS Department during the two semesters of the second year of the RDS program. It is a 1 + 2 + 0, equivalent to 3 credit hours course for first semester plus 1 + 2 + 0 for second semester, or a total of 6 credit hours course.

1/ التعرف على أهمية ريادة الأعمال ودورها الفعال في المجتمع .

2/ معرفة كيفية وضع خطة عمل للمشروع الصغير .

وصف المقرر باختصار :

ينقسم المقرر إلى عده أقسام منها ( أساسيات ريادة الأعمال - صفات ومهارات رائد الأعمال - الإبداع والإبتكار وريادة الأعمال - نجاح وفشل المنشئات الصغيرة - خطة العمل -تمويل المشروع ) .

This course includes the following:
1- Lab safety and rules.
2- Macroscopical examination of Gram +ve bacteria.
3- Biochemical tests applied on some of Gram +ve bacteria.
4- Macroscopical examination of Gram -ve bacteria.
5- Biochemical tests applied on some of Gram -ve bacteria.

226 PHT ( Practical)

This course includes the following:
1- Lab safety rules.
2- Definition and classification of microorganisms.
3-  Studying the description of bacterial structure.
4- Identification of microoganisms using the microscope.
5- Studying bacterial growth using specific technique.
6- Sterilization methods ( Removal of the undesirable microorganisms).
7- Sensitivity tests to study the effect of antibiotics toward different bacteria.
8- Mycology (Science that deals with fungi).
