Course Objectives and Skills to be developed


1. To understand CAD related concepts within the scope of using computers as a modeling tool.


2. To learn 3D digital modeling techniques pertaining to architectural design projects.


3. To experience visualization techniques through rendering, printing, and presentation their


projects.


 


Course Description


1. This course develops and enhances computer modeling skills (3D modeling, rendering, and


presentation) through lectures and hands-on experience in using computer applications.


2. Lectures introduce conceptual and theoretical issues regarding CAD, practical sessions develop


skills and techniques needed to prepare and represent architectural design projects.


3. Throughout the course, exercises are implemented and submitted in each lab. During the final


phases of the course, students submit a model of a project of their own design.
