Introduction to Economics

Introduction to Economics provides students with a foundational understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles that govern the study of economics. This course explores the ways in which individuals, businesses, and societies allocate scarce resources to satisfy their diverse needs and wants. Through a combination of theoretical models, real-world examples, and practical applications, students will delve into the mechanisms of both microeconomics (the study of individual choices and market interactions) and macroeconomics (the study of aggregate economic phenomena, including inflation, unemployment, and economic growth).

Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, students should be able to:

-Identify and explain the core principles and tools of economic analysis.
-Understand the decision-making process of individuals and firms in various market structures.
-Analyze macroeconomic indicators and understand their implications on economic policy.
-Evaluate the impact of governmental policies on markets and overall economic health.
