Bio: 
Ahmet Tuken was born on August 5, 1969. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey in January 1992 and M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA in May 1997. He worked at State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, NY, USA as a research assistant from 1997 to 1999. Then he has been a graduate student and also a research assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at METU from 1999 to 2004. He worked as an expert and also as a coordinator at State Planning Ornanization (SPO) – The Center For European Union Education And Youth Programmes between 2004 and 2009. Since August 2009, he has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at King Saud Univesrity. His main areas of interest are structural dynamics and earthquake engineering, shear walls and design of concrete structures.
