introduction/brief CV

Following a five-year tenure as a postdoctoral fellow at the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a fervent dedication to fungal systematics and biogeography was established. The primary research delves into the study of microfungi from a range of habitats, with a keen interest in fungal taxonomy's application to ecological modelling. The research spans two key areas: taxonomic systematics and biogeography of microfungi, and the richness, diversity, and composition of microfungi in forest canopies. There is also significant investigation into the effects of land use changes on fungal pathogens and the exploration of fungal diversity in unique areas, like caves and sinkholes.

With a Ph.D. from Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand, completed between 2013 and 2018, over 200 international publications have been credited, reflecting an impressive H-index of 51 and more than 11,900 citations on Google Scholar. Notable achievements in 2022 include recognition as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate and ranking among the top 2% of global scientists by Stanford University, California. Editorial responsibilities include management of Mycosphere and Studies in Fungi journals, specialized issue editorship focused on fungal systematics and biogeography, and peer review contributions for numerous scientific journals.
