Artificial Lift Methods and Surface Operations, which cover the following topics:
1- Review of Production Engineering Roles and Performance of
Natural Flowing Wells.
2- Artificial lift methods: Sucker Rod Pumping, Hydraulic pumping, Electric submergible centrifugal pumps, Gas lift valves and string design, and Introduction to other artificial lift methods.
3- Surface operations: Oil and gas gathering at oil fields, Oil and gas separators, Dehydration, desalting and stabilization, Heater theater design.
4- Well or environmental issues related to production operations.

Course Learning Objectives (CLO): each course has course learning objectives, where each student completing this course successfully will be able to:
1. Understand the theoretical background of oil and gas well production (CLO-1)
2. Design the best artificial lift methods for oil wells and surface processing systems (CLO-2)
3. Recognize the well or environmental issues related to production operations (CLO-3)
