English Speakers’ Errors in Arabic as L2WS

ALKADI, HISHAM . 2014

The research highlights eight common error categories. It is unsurprising, that the fundamental differences between the two writing systems cause English learners of Arabic to make significant amount of errors. Eight generic error categories related to WS differences have been reviewed based on existing literature. English speakers usually face more difficulties than their classmates whose languages use the Arabic script. Indeed, further investigations of specifically this context is highly needed for the lack of literature.
