The Bioinformatics Research Group (BioInG) is pleased to welcome you to the first Choose, Post and Win competition. The BioInG is an established research group at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University.

The aim of this competition is to promote the area of bioinformatics among faculty, researchers, and students. It is an opportunity to exchange ideas and to provide a forum to present the work of undergraduate and graduate students and faculty in bioinformatics and related areas. The competition is funded by: BioInG and the National Plan for Science and technology (NPST).

Graduate and undergraduate students, lecturers and TAs are all invited to submit posters in Bioinformatics and relevant areas. Participants can choose from the suggested list of papers. In addition, participants can also present posters from papers of their choice. Posters will be reviewed for relevance.

First Winner: 1000 SR
Second Winner: 500 SR
Third Winner: 500 SR
A limited fund is available for printing and poster preparation, just keep the receipts.

Important dates:
Registration deadlines: March 26, 2014 (title and paper selection only)
Submission Deadline: April 12, 2014 (a soft copy of the poster as PDF to be sent to BioInG@ksu.edu.sa)
Notification of acceptance: April 21, 2014
Winner announcement: May 4,2014 (Part of the evaluation is based on your poster presentation on the same day)

Final submissions should include:
• Title of the poster;
• 1-2 paragraph abstract;
• Author names.
• The poster in electronic format (image or pdf).

Poster preparation:
• Your poster may include the following sections: abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
• Poster size is 36 x 48.
• Use light background colors.
