493 NJD Languages and Culture (9452) OP

Main Course Goals:

1. Enhance students' understanding of culture as particular phenomena related to matters of ideology, nationality, ethnicity, social class and gender.
2. Expand students' understanding of the idea that cultural studies mean the practices of everyday life.
3. Enable students to understand culture in all its complex forms and to analyze the social and political context  in which culture manifests itself.
