Augmentative & Alternative Communication -467-

Objectives:    
The course covers augmentative and alternative communication systems components and the decisions involved in selecting these components to support a communication system for clients with developmental and acquired communication needs. A combination of readings, activities, reports, discussions, will be used to develop skills in assessment and intervention for individuals who are unable to meet daily communication using natural modes. The course will provide students with the skills t necessary to provide services to individual who use AAC to facilitate communication.
