Nur 502- Health Care Delivery System

Using “system theory” framework, this course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the structure and major components of health care delivery systems and their characteristics. Emphasis is on current problems in health care financing and delivery. Social, economic and political forces that have shaped and continue to influence the system are traced. Particular attention is given to the planning for effective delivery of nursing services in future health care delivery system. The health care system in the United States and Canadian are compared with systems in developing nations. Analysis covers current trends in health care and prospects for the future.
