يقدم هذا المقرر دراسة مجموعات الفطريات والخمائر المختلفة من حيث التصنيف والشكل وفسيولوجيا التركيب والوظائف الحيوية وطرق إحداث المرض مع وصف إكلينيكي مختصر لتحديد أنسب العينات الإكلينيكية لعزل الميكروب وتحديد متطلبات النمو ، الفحص المجهري ، الاختبارات المصلية للفحص المعملي متضمناً طرق التعامل مع العينات المرضية المختلفة والخطوات المتبعة للتعرف على الميكروب
The objective of this course is to train undergraduate students on collecting, growing, and identifying mycology samples. The training is provided through laboratory exercises and demonstrations with a special focus on saprophytic fungi, superficial mycoses, dermatophytes, subcutaneous mytoses, systemic and opportunistic mycoses
