This course focuses on the application of the paediatrics nursing theoretical knowledge in the clinical area, Using the nursing process as a tool while giving nursing care to children with different medical –surgical problems. The student develops skills in observing and caring for well and sick children during their stages of development from birth to the adolescent in the hospital.

- *Mother Class 8% (Started at week 6)
- *Case Study 10% (Submit at week 12)
- *Clinical Evaluation 14% (On each clinical day)
- *Reports 6% (Submit 3 reports)
- Midterm- 10% Written + 10% Practical 10% (Week7)
- Final Exam- 20% Written + 20% Practical

Note:
*Mother class topics are (Vaccination - Breastfeeding - Artificial feeding - Rickets - Diarrhea - Constipation - Teething - Nutrition - Fever - First aid).
*Case study (chose one interested case from intensive care unit, pediatric medical or surgical wards)
*Clinical evaluation (Student will be evaluated randomly for 7 items only from the clinical evaluation procedure list with only one chance to repeat for one item only.
*Reports assigned areas are pediatric medical, surgical, emergency and outpatient.
