General Virology - MBIO 250

The course introduces the world of viruses as an important cause of disease and suffering to humans, animals and plants. It describes the basic historical events that established and developed the science of virology. The basic features and structural foundations of viruses are discussed in detail. The course also highlights the basis of virus classification, replication and pathogenesis as well as the ways of spread in nature.
