PHC 211 Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry

This course includes the study of structural compositions of the function groups in carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds with particular emphasis on the nomenclature,  physicochemical properties, synthesis, reactions and mechanism of reactions in addition to stereochemistry of organic molecules. The laboratory period deals with the identification of different classes of organic compounds based on differences in their physicochemical properties and spectroscopy.
