Publication Abstract:

The project was to model a steam generator (SG) that has a special phenomenon to be reached during the whole period. The SG has an important role in the power plant. The fluid comes from the reactor with a very high temperature, so we need to limit the temperature value, by heat exchange with another fluid at lower temperature than the first one. We used one of the simulation computer programs that can easily show us the SG operation; in a benchmark approach, we can compare the results we obtain numerically with the ones happen found on experiments or the reality provided they are available.
One of the aims is to get the module that explains all the phenomena we want. Actually, this is not very easy to obtain. We try to improve the model step by step, by changing the number of the tubes or the elevation. In addition, there are other parameters which play a large effect in all the model development.
