Bio:
Dr. Mohamed Farahat Ibrahim is a Professor, Consultant Phoniatrician (Voice, speech, language, and swallowing disorders). He received his Bachelor Degree of Medicine and General Surgery, Master degree (M.Sc.) and Doctoral degree (M.D) of Phoniatrics from College of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Since 2008, He was the Chairman, Communication and Swallowing Disorders Unit (CSDU), King AbulAziz University Hospital, King Saud University (till 2016) and the supervisor of Swallowing Disorders Clinics, King Khalid University Hospital, College of Medicine, King Saud University. In addition to academic and clinical assignments, Dr. Farahat was the coordinator of the ORL course for the fourth year medical students, College of Medicine, King Saud University for 3 years. He spent 4 years in the ENT team for Canadian Accreditation, ENT Department, King Saud University. Dr. Farahat was nominated as the international coordinator of World Swallowing Day from Union of European Phoniatricians (UEP). From the research point of view, He is heading a King Saud research group of Voice, Swallowing, and Communication disorders and also a member in a grant funded by the National Plan of Science and Technology (NPST). He is a member in the Research Chair of Voice, Swallowing and Communication disorders since 2009. He published more than 17 articles with his colleagues in the field of Voice, Swallowing, and Communication disorders.
