I, Md. Izhar Alam (b. 1981) earned my Master and Ph.D. degree in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India, qualified National Educational Test (NET) for lectureship, conducted by University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi, India also qualified Civil Services Exam (main) conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). I have been awarded various scholarships such as Post- Graduate merit scholarship, Hamdard National Foundation fellowship for Civil Services Exam. I have more than 5 years experience of teaching at under- graduate and post- graduate level as well as Industry (research) experience at Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. I worked as consultant from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) and posted at Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoC&I), Govt. of India. I have participated in various international trade negotiations between India and Latin America & Caribbean (LAC) countries and North American countries. I was a member in a committee constituted by MoC&I, Govt. of India to prepare a report on strategies for trade and investment between Indian and LAC countries. I have been selected as a member of Research & Development committee in Monad University, Utter Pradesh, India. I have also been the member in several academic committees of the College of Business Administration, King Saud University, KSA. I have been a member in an editorial board of two research journals published research papers on financial economics and business economics. I have presented several research papers in National and International Seminars/ Conferences and attended various workshops/training programmes on research methodology, International Trade modelling and Econometric modelling. My research papers have been published in various National and International research journals. International economics (trade, finance and investment) and macroeconomic issues are my areas of research interest. I authored a book entitled "Capital Inflows in India: A Macroeconometric Analysis."
