Dr. Mohammad Islam
Bio:
I completed my Ph.D. (2006) in Materials Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology, USA. My research expertise is in the fields of synthesis of thin films and nanostructures for solar energy and other applications, polymer based composites, wear and corrosion resistant metallic and composite coatings. I possess about 8 years of postgraduate and post-Ph.D. experience of working in the US. I also served for 4 years at National University of Sciences & Technology, Pakistan, actively involved in teaching and research responsibilities. I taught about 10 courses at UG and PG levels and supervised Theses of about 9 students. I was awarded postdoctoral research fellowship to work at University of Nantes, France for 7 months (2009-10). Since 2011, I am associated with CEREM, KSU as Assistant Professor. I have authored/co-authored 2 books and 48 research papers in ISI journals with total impact factor of 90+. I have also completed 4 research projects with net funding of SAR 2 millions.
