Bio:
An assistant professor and a consultant speech-language pathologist (SLP) and a researcher in the field of neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia. An experienced SLP who gained national and international experience in the field of neuro-rehabilitation of neurogenic speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Completed pre-doctoral research training in swallowing physiology at the National Institute of Health (NIH), USA. Gained extensive experience in mentoring and supervising graduate level clinical and research students at Howard University. Areas of interest in research methodology include teaching research methodology particularly writing proposals, study designs, data analysis and interpretation using variety of statistical programs such as SPSS and Excel. My main clinical and research interest is in clinical management of individuals with neurogenic communication disorders across all ages.
