(English Language I)

This course enables students to understand spoken and written English and use it in their daily life. It  provides the students with comprehensive knowledge of English skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) up to the pre-intermediate level. It enables the students to use a range of relevant vocabulary and form basic sentences. The main objectives of the course are as follows:

1. Understand basic grammatical rules and form correct sentences.
2. Identify the components of a sentence.
3. Use a range of relevant vocabulary that is related to different themes.
4. Understand short texts in English.
5. Write simple English sentences
6. Understand short talks by native speakers of English.
7. Produce  clear and coherent short oral presentation.
