التعريف الشخصي:
Dr. Nouf Alyami Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology Assistant Professor at King Saud University Zoology Department

“Seek Knowledge, even if it takes you to China.” Attributed to Prophet Mohammad
It is the thirst for knowledge that initially sent me from the comfort of my home to Riyadh and to United States. My education, a Master’s summa cum laude in Cell Biology and Genetics, has shown me how much more there is to learn.
Working with Fowzan S Alkuraya, who supervised my master's project and thesis, enhanced my research ability and expand my knowledge at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center.  And together, we published one paper titled "No evidence for rare pathological SIAE coding variants in patients with Vitiligo" in the International Journal of Dermatology (2011).
Then I earned my Ph.D. from Colorado State University, USA, in 2019 that gave me a unique opportunity to continue in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology (Cancer Biology) and explore and expand my area of interest, which is Molecular Genetics Specifically in Cancer field.
In the USA, I worked, and I earned my Ph.D. with Dawn L Daval at Colorado State University on investigating IGF2BP1 in human and canine osteosarcoma. My Ph.D. give me a unique opportunity to continue in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology. And with it, I can explore and expand my area of interest, which is Molecular Genetics Specifically in the Cancer field.  And together, we published (Defining the Significance of Insulin-like Growth Factor 2 mRNA-Binding Protein 1 (IGF2BP1) Expression in both Human and Canine Osteosarcoma). Published Online:1 Apr 2019.
