Dr. Syed Farooq Adil

Dr. Adil is an Associate Professor at the chemistry department, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. He was born in Hyderabad, India, and obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Osmania University. He carried out his doctoral research work at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, and his Ph.D. degree was awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He later joined the chemistry department at the King Saud University, KSA in the year 2008. His research is focused on nanomaterials, material sciences, graphene-based nanocomposites, which are prepared using conventional methods and employing green synthesis and their applications as catalytic and biological agents. He is also working towards the preparation of material that can be employed for energy storage and fuel cells. He is presently supervising few master and Ph.D. students. He has published extensively in the above-mentioned fields of research and has several patents. He is presently authoring few books with several publishers. He also worked as a visiting associate at California Institute of Technology (CALTECH), Pasadena, CA, USA. He is also associated with the Journal of Saudi Chemical Society as an assistant editor. He is also an editorial board member of various journals.
