I'm currently writing up my PhD research. My current research looks at how ‘real’ readers create worlds in dystopian texts, focusing on dispreferred responses to narratives. This research aims to create a qualitative database of reader responses to dystopian narratives and draw upon them in tracing the creation of meaning through the cooperation of text and reader. My main research interests lie in dystopia, reader response studies and Text World Theory.
