Course description
This course trains the students to distinguish between correct and incorrect pronunciation of the English sounds, before proceeding to develop their pronunciation skills. In addition to the parts of speech, the course deals with vowels, consonants and accentuation.
Course Objectives:
The objectives are to learn the classification and description of speech sounds and the use of the IPA to phonemically transcribe English words.
