Dr. Basil AsSadhan

Dr. Basil AsSadhan is an assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department at King Saud University. He is the former vice dean of admission and registration at the university, and prior to that he was a council member of the college of engineering. He also works as a cyber security consultant at Taqnia Cyber. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. Dr. AsSadhan's research interests are in the areas of: cyber security, network security, network traffic analysis, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition with a focus on the detection of C&C communication channels in botnet traffic. He is the author of a book and has published his research work in several journals and conferences. He has been certified by GIAC as an intrusion analyst (GCIA), and is the recipient of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Scholar Award.
