Students Exams are written and clinical.
- Clinical Exams come in different forms:
· Long case: The Student is given one hour to take full history and physical exam. After that, two examiners will interview the student asking him/her to present full history and physical for the patient and to demonstrate some exam techniques.
· Short case: The student is given seven minutes to examine one system in the presence of two examiners, and during the following seven minutes, the examiners will ask him/her to present the findings and diagnosis if possible.
· Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs): The length of the OSCE station is generally 5-20 minutes. You will perform a medical encounter with a standardized patient (SP) just like a real medical encounter. In some OSCE exams, an examiner (a physician) will be present during these encounters to assess your clinical skills and communication skills based on a standard checklist.
- Multiple choice questions:
MCQs are used in the written exams in courses 341 and 441. You may check the link on how to answer MCQs question. We are presenting here some examples of the single best format.
