Qualifications:
- PhD in the field of microelectronics and nanostructured semiconductor materials, in 2010 from the University of Manchester, UK.
- MSc in Nanoscale Science and Technology, with merit in 2006 from the University of Leeds, UK.
- B.Sc. in physics, in 2000, from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (excellent grade).
Scientific Research Skills:
- Thin film deposition techniques such as molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), pulsed laser deposition (PLD), sputtering technique and some other deposition techniques.
- Various structural, optical and electrical characterization techniques, i.e., atomic force microscope, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, XRD, photoluminescence, absorption and transmission optical setups.
- Fabrication of semiconductor devices in clean environment (cleanrooms) which involves the use of lithography techniques, dry and wet etching and other processing equipments.
- Nanoscale patterning using Focused Ion Beam system.
- Semiconductor nanostructure synthesis for photovoltaic and gas sensing applications
