A soft chemical solution process was used in synthesis of photocatalytic zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO- PNPs)at low temperature. The synthesized PNPs were characterized interms of their crystallinity, morphological, catalytic, spectroscopic and statistical analysis techniques.X-ray powder diffraction patterns (XRD) were used to know the crystall in eproperty of the prepared materials whereas fieldemission electronicmicroscopy (FESEM)wasemployedtoobservethemorphologyofgrownNPs.UV–visible spectroscopywasemployedtoanalyzetheabsorbanceofdegradedsafranine(SA)dyeinpresenceofNPsat desiredtimeinterval.Parametersofstatisticalanalysisgivenecessaryinformationforestablishedanalytical procedurestoensurequalityandpurityofresults.Withthehelpofthisanalyticalmethod, outcomeswere calculatedintermsofabsorbancesuchasstandarddeviation(SD),relativestandarddeviation(RSD),etc.at 95%confidence level.Thephotocatalyticdeactivation/degradationprocesssignificantlyenhancedtheac- tivityofZnO-PNPsunderUV–visiblelightinpresenceofSAdye.TheeffectiveconcentrationofusedPNPs wasoptimizedandvalidatedviastandardanalyticalprocedure, whichexhibitedgreatersignificanceon deactivationprocess.TheabsorptionspectraofphotocatalyzedsolutionandactivityofZnO-PNPswere comparedwiththoseofpureZnO,obtainedbyUV–visiblespectroscopy.
