Biography of Dr. Mohammad Mehedi Hassan

Dr. Mohammad Mehedi Hassan (MIEEE’12) is currently an Associate Professor of Information Systems Department in the College of Computer and Information Sciences (CCIS), King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea in February 2011. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Computer Engineering Department, Kyung Hee University, South Korea from March, 2011 to November, 2011. He is one of the founding members of Chair of Pervasive and Mobile Computing (CPMC) at CCIS, KSU and successfully managing its research program, which transformed the chair as one of the best chairs of research excellence in the college. He received Best Paper Award from CloudComp 2014 conference at China in 2014. He also received Excellence in Research Award from CCIS, KSU in 2015 and 2016. Dr. Hassan has published over 100+ research papers in the journals and conferences of international repute such as IEEE Wireless Communication Magazine, IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Communication Magazine, IEEE Transaction on Computers, IEEE Transaction on Services Computing, Future Generation Computing Systems, ACM Multimedia conference, etc. He has served as, chair, and Technical Program Committee member in numerous international conferences/workshops such as IEEE CCNC, ACM BodyNets, IEEE HPCC etc. He has also played role of the guest editor of several international ISI-indexed journals. He is currently an Associate Editor of IEEE Access Journal. He has secured several national and international research grants in the domain of cloud computing and sensor network. His research areas of interest are cloud federation, multimedia cloud, Body sensor network, Internet of things, Big data, mobile cloud, cloud security, IPTV, sensor network, 5G network, social network, publish/subscribe system and recommender system.
