Ph.D student
- Extensive characterization of chronic antibody mediated rejection of heart transplant in mouse model.
- Investigated the effect of antibody affinity maturation on the pathogenesis of cardiac rejection in vivo.
- Animal techniques.
- Immunology techniques (ELISA, ELISPOT, western blot).
- Cell culture, cell migration techniques, and tissue processing (cryostat and IHC).
- Extensive experience in designing multi-color flow cytometry panels, confocal microscopy, immunoflouresence microscopy, and laser capture microscopy.

2013 King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Trained (6 months) at the stem cells and tissue re-engineering program.
- Responsible of collecting and processing fresh breast cancer tumor samples from female in-patients.
- Sort tumor samples for stem cells by FACS.
- Perform T cell proliferation assays.
- T cells proliferation measurement by flow cytometry.
- Perform immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining.
2012 – Current King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Lecturer at KSU in the field of immunology.
- Demonstrator of medical microbiology and immunology laboratories.
- Former head of the KSU internship committee.
- Current vice-head of the KSU internship committee.
- Former member of the purchases committee at the microbiology and immunology department.
- Member of the higher education committee at clinical laboratories department.
2009 – 2012 National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa, ON.
M.Sc Student
- Isolated anti-CD49d single-domain antibodies from a synthetic VL phage display library by whole cell panning using Jurkat cells.
- Analyzed the biophysical properties of isolated VLs for isoelectiric point, apparent molecular weight, formula molecular weight, aggregation status, concentration and total protein yield.
- Expressed and gel-purified novel homodimeric antibody fragments (hFc-VLs). Each monomer comprised of CD49d-binding VL, hinge, CH2, and CH3 domains using mammalian cell expression system.
- Gel purified hFc-VLs successfully recognized the native structure of CD49d expressed on transfected K562 cells as confirmed by flow cytometry.
2006 – 2007 King Khaled University Hospital, Riyadh, KSA.
- Full-time internship in the diagnostic clinical laboratories of King Khaled University Hospital. Completion with Excellence.
- Trained on different medical laboratory technologies (rotating for one year), including histophathology, medical microbiology, heamatology, and clinical biochemistry.
- Trained on collecting, processing, and handling venous and capillary blood samples using aseptic techniques.
- Trained on performing detailed assignments with minimal supervision and work under pressure.
