In this introductory course students learn how to decompose a problem into input, processing and output. The steps of writing an algorithm are explained. The use of variables , constants, operators and their priorities are detailed. Students understand the role and execytion mode of Control Structures (Selection and Repetition). Students are thus able to translate an algorithm to a program , compile it , trace its errors and correct its errors till it is successfully executed to produce the desired output. Lectures and Labs for a high level language "C-language" are taught and well practised.
