In this course, students are expected to practice sight translation of a wide range of speeches/talks in both directions (English/Arabic & Arabic/English). The main focus will be placed on resolving the various problems and difficulties encountered in this type of interpreting, with a special focus on terminology, lexical borrowing and coinages, abbreviations and acronyms, and Arabization.
