Learning Objectives:

The course is designed to introduce the students to statistical methods and other problem- solving techniques required in the area of quality control. These techniques are used to control the process performance, diagnose quality problems and develop sustainable improvement. The course also covers the tools which used in the industry to measure the quality characteristics. Finally, the students will be introduced to the latest quality management methodologies and its application in the industrial systems.

 Data collection, by measurements or by using plants data

 Identifying uncertainties in the data

 The use of statistical control computer package to analyze and to construct the required control charts

 Discussion and interpretation of the results Computer Usage Minitab or R software packages
