EMS 222 Pulmonology and Airway Management

This course will discuss the pulmonary system anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. This course will cover advanced airway management, advance airway techniques, ventilation techniques and ventilation assisted devices. This course will also cover understanding and interpreting capnography and arterial blood gases. We will also explore and discuss current trends and special considerations in respiratory care and airway management. (Prerequisite is EMS 211).
