مدونتي هذه تجمع ملاحظاتي المختلفة عن اللغة في العموم. أكتب عن اللسان العربي عموماً وأركز على الفصحى غالباً وعلى لغة أهل نجد أحياناً؛ ولكني قد أضع فيها بعض المقتطفات اللسانية عن لغات أخرى أتحدثها أو أتعلمها.

تخصصي اللغة، أتعلمها وأعلمها وأبحث في نظرياتها. وأنا بذلك أقصد اللغة عموما وهي قدرة الإنسان على التحدث لنقل أفكاره سواء باستخدام الأصوات أو الإشارات.

TRAJ 389/NAJD 499-Graduation Project

In "Graduation Project", students are expected to:
1. Translate a text that is not less than 40 pages (250 words/page) from English into Arabic or vice versa.
2. Post-edit the translated text.
3. Cooperate with peers to solve current issues faced in the translation process.
4. Meet with supervisor one a week throughout the semester.
5. Prepare 3 copies of the finalised book before the deadline provided by the supervisor at the beginning of the semester.

GENERATION OF SITE-SPECIFIC UBIQUITINATED HISTONES THROUGH CHEMICAL LIGATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HISTONE DEUBIQUITINASES

Nucleosome is the basic unit of chromatin and is composed of 147 base pairs of DNA wrapped 1.65 turns around a histone octamer of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4)(Luger et al., 1997). Histones are subject to numerous post-translational modifications. One such modification is the addition of a single ubiquitin (Ub) moiety to a specific lysine residue in the histones, such as H2AK119 or H2BK120 in humans. Depending on the site of Ub attachment, these modifications have distinct functional consequences.
