Evaluation of knowledge and attitude towards asthma care in hospital and community pharmacy settings at central Saudi Arabia.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the knowledge and attitude towards asthma care in hospital and community pharmacy settings at central Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out over a period of 2-month from July 2015 to August 2015. The study population involves pharmacists registered with the Health Affairs Directorate and was practicing in community pharmacy and hospital pharmacies.

Knowledge and Perception of Community Pharmacists' Towards Generic Medicines in Saudi Arabia

Aim: To evaluate the Saudi Community Pharmacists’ knowledge and perception towards generic medicines. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional survey using a self-completed paper-based survey with sample size (450) was conducted among a random sample of community pharmacists in central Saudi Arabia (SA). Statistical analysis: The data were analyzed using IBM-SPSS; version 22.0 both descriptive and inferential statistical analysis were applied. Results: Responses were obtained from 365 pharmacies (response rate, 81.1%).

Evaluation of knowledge of Health care professionals on warfarin interactions with drug and herb medicinal in Central Saudi Arabia

Objectives:

To evaluate health care professionals’ knowledge on warfarin interactions with drugs and herbs.

Methods:

A self-administered questionnaire was developed to assess health care professionals’ knowledge on warfarin interactions with drug and herb. Respondents were asked to classify 15 drugs that may effect on warfarin action as “enhance”, “inhibit “, “no effect”. The study sample involved health care professionals (physicians, pharmacists and nurses) from king Salman hospital, Saudi Arabia.
