MED 441

As a 5th year student, you will be in your final year in med school. This course is the more clinical course when compared to what you have taken in MED 341 during your third year. We appreciate that by the end of this year you will graduate from med school and be ready for your internship year. That's why in this course we focus more into building the physician that we want to have in the team just the following year to shar his medical opinions and be an active part in diagnosing and managing the patients.

MED 341

This course is designed to satisfy what a student in the 3rd year should be aware of in that particular level. It's the first clinical year so this course focuses mainly on mastering and optimizing the skills of history taking and physical examinations. To ensure that goal is achieved the course is a combination of lectures as well as bedside teaching sessions. The students are given the chance to see patients and practice what they are given in lectures and moreover the chance of discussing what they have obtained from patients with their seniors and consultants.

Green Tea protects against Perinatal Nicotine-Induced Histological, Biochemical and Hematological Alterations in Mice Offspring

Objective: Perinatal nicotine exposure induces malformations and imbalances the prooxidant/antioxidant status. The present study aimed to investigate the possible protective effects of green tea extract against perinatal nicotine-induced alterations in mice newborns. Materials and methods: Pregnant mice received 0.25 mg/kg nicotine on gestational day 12 to postnatal day 15. A control group received an equal volume of saline.

Effect of alpha lipoic acid on in vitro development of bovine secondary preantral follicles.

The present study aimed to evaluate the in vitro effect of alpha lipoic acid (ALA) addition to the culture medium on the development of the bovine secondary preantral follicles. Bovine secondary preantral follicles were collected and divided into two groups depending on their size (80-100 μm and 100-110 μm). They were cultured in vitro for 15 days (D) using different media including at three different doses of ALA.

A non-covalent interaction of Schiff base copper alanine complex with green synthesized reduced graphene oxide for highly selective electrochemical detection of nitrite

A novel and selective nitrite sensor based on non-covalent interaction of Schiff base copper complex [Cu(sal-ala)(phen)] with reduced graphene oxide (RGO) was developed by simple eco-friendly approach. The morphology of the prepared RGO/[Cu(sal-ala)(phen)] nanocomposite was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet visible spectroscopy (UV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction studies and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).
