This practicum course focuses on the clinical skills related to the maternal roles during different childbearing and childrearing stages. Procedures and skills related to gynecology are also emphasized. The application of nursing process in the assessment and management of family during these stages is adopted
 

This practicum is designed to develop skills required to provide nursing care to the child throughout the health/illness continuum, including psychosocial, developmental and physical health promotion, risk reduction and illness care. Clinical experiences include an emphasis on nursing care of the well child and the child with acute, chronic and/or life-threatening conditions. Nursing interventions which minimize the psychological and physiologic distress experienced by children and their families are also considered.
