This course aims at providing students with an introduction to statistics and probabilities. Students begin to learn about the mathematical meaning of probability, how to calculate probability through different examples, as well as the concept of conditional probability, and event independence. And then to the concept of random variables and types of probability distributions, and the method of calculating the expectation and variance of the random variable in addition to linear functions in random variables.
