Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) possess properties that are important for industrial and medical applications. This study is aimed to investigate intra-peritoneal toxicity of AgNPs at 26, 52 or 78 mg/kg/ day for 5 days in mice Swiss albino mice. The effects on oxidative stress markers activities of serum superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT), levels of serum glutathione (GSH), apoptosis (TUNEL assay), DNA strand breaks (comet assay) in lymphocytes, as well as histopathological of kidney tissue were determined.

Barium oxide nanoparticles (BaONPs) are an important industrial compound and are widely used in polymers and paints. In this study, apoptotic and genotoxic effects of BaONPs in mouse embryonic fibroblast (L929) cells were determined by using single-cell gel test. In vitro cytotoxicity assays were performed to assess BaONPs’ toxicity in L929 cells. Mild cytotoxicity was observed in L929 cells due to BaONPs. BaONPs increased lipid peroxidation, catalase, and superoxide dismutase levels and lowered glutathione levels in L929 cells.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تشخيص الثقافة التنظيمية من منظور مدخل القيم المتنافسة ، أحد أهم المداخل الفكرية لدراسة الثقافة التنظيمية . وعلى ضوء ذلك تم تحديد مشكلة البحث في التساؤل الرئيس التالي : ما هي أنواع الثقافة التنظيمية الحالية والمفضلة في الأجهزة الحكومية من منظور مدخل القيم  المتنافسة ؟

Quercetol is a polyphenolic molecule present in vegetables and fruits, and is beneficial to human and animal health. The current work aimed to test cytotoxic and apoptotic effects of quercetol on HepG2 cells. Quercetol was isolated from Ocimum sanctum and characterized by gas chromatography–tandom mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Quercetol (50–600 μg/mL) was examined for cytotoxic activity by tetrazolium salt and neutral red uptake tests and comet assay for genotoxicity, using HepG2 cells, over 24 hours.

This study aimed to estimate the ecotoxic properties of magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO nanoparticles), in freshwater pond snail Radix leuteola L. (R. luteola). Before observations of MgO nanoparticles toxic potential, average size and shape of MgO nanoparticles was measured by dynamic light scattering and field transmission electron microscope. Exposure of MgO nanoparticles encouraged an elevation in levels of malondialdehyde, glutathione peroxidase and coincidentally decreases in glutathione reduced after 1 and 4 days, suggesting pro-oxidant effects of the nanoparticles in R. luteola.
