Nickel nanomaterials are promising in the biomedical field, especially in cancer diagnostics and targeted therapy, due to their distinctive chemical and physical properties. In this experiment, the toxicity of nickel nanotubes (Ni NTs) were tested in an in vitro cervical cancer model (HeLa cell line) to optimize the parameters of photodynamic therapy (PDT) for their greatest effectiveness. Ni NTs were synthesized by electrodeposition.
Initially, the sample was synthesized by a modified sol-gel process. Morphological analysis of growth SiO2@Eu(OH)3 was confirmed by applying field emission transmission electron microscopy (high and low resolution FETEM). The images confirmed the average diameter of mesoporous SiO2@Eu(OH)3 core-shell nanospheres (~392–400 nm) with a silica core of ~230 nm in diameter and a shell composed of europium hydroxide ~162 nm (thickness). Moreover, an absorption band at 280 nm was confirmed which initiates from the europium hydroxide.
Tooth agenesis in human being is the most common congenital anomaly associated with dental development. Mutations in many genes such as MSH homeobox 1 (MSX1), paired box gene 9 (PAX9), ectodysplasin A (EDA) and EDA receptor (EDAR) have been associated with familial form of this condition. However, in large majority of patients, genetic cause could not be identified. The primary aim of present study was to identify the causative mutation(s) in these genes in Saudi Arabian families diagnosed with non-syndromic form of disease.
يهدف هذا المقرر إلى أن تتعرف الطالبة على البحث العلمي بمناهجه المختلفة وجوانب قوتها وضعفها ، ومتى يتم استخدام كل منهج، و طريقة كتابته بشكل علمي منظم. كما انها ستلم في نهاية المقرر بخطوات اعداد البحث من بداية تحديد المشكله الى تحليل النتائج، مرورا بالفرضيات و اختيار العينة في ضوء الظاهره المدروسة.
من أهداف هذا المقرر تطوير المفاهيم العلمية لدى طالبات علم النفس حول المواضيع المختلفة في مجال علم النفس المعرفي، ومنها (الانتباه، الادراك، التفكير، معالجة المعلومات، الذاكرة، اللغة، حل المشكلات و اتخاذ القرارات).
التعرف على التجارب الحديثة في مجال علم النفس المعرفي و تطبيقاتها، ومناهج البحث فيه.
التدريب على عدد من المقاييس الخاصة بعلم النفس المعرفي.
Introduction: Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID) emphasizes conservative caries management strategies resulting in less destruction of tooth structure, a deviation of the traditional GV Black’s restorative principles. However, there seems to be either deficiency in knowledge or little intention by general dental practitioners to adopt these principles.
Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitude among general dental practitioners towards minimally invasive dentistry in Riyadh and AlKharj cities of Saudi Arabia.
