Synthesis and antitumor evaluation of trimethoxyanilides based on 4(3H)-quinazolinone scaffolds

A novel series of 2-[(3-substituted-4(3H)-quinazolin-2-yl)thio]-N-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)acetamide (1521) and 3-[(3-substituted-4(3H)-quinazolin-2-yl)thio])-N-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)propanamide (2329) were designed, prepared and estimated for their anticancer activity in a solo dose 10 μM of the test compounds in the NCI 57 cell lines panel assay.

Synthesis, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, COX-1/2 inhibition activities and molecular docking study of pyrazoline derivatives

Design, synthesis and pharmacological activities of a group of 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazolines were reported. The chemical structures of the synthesized compounds have been assigned on the basis of IR, MS, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectral analyses. The synthesized 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazoline derivatives were evaluated in vivo for anti-inflammatory, analgesic activities and in vitro for COX-1/2 inhibition assay.

FT-IR, FT-Raman and molecular docking study of ethyl 4-(2-(4-oxo-3-phenethyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-ylthio)acetamido)benzoate

FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of ethyl 4-(2-(4-oxo-3-phenethyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-ylthio)acetamido)benzoate were recorded, assigned and compared with theoretical results. Stability of the molecule arising from hyperconjugative interactions, charge delocalization has been analyzed using natural bond orbital analysis. From the optimized geometry of the molecule, molecular electrostatic potential, nonlinear optical properties and frontier molecular orbitals of the title compound were performed at the DFT level.

DFT and experimental (FT-IR and FT-Raman) investigation of vibrational spectroscopy and molecular docking studies of 2-(4-oxo-3-phenethyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-ylthio)-N-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl) acetamide

A comprehensive structural and vibrational study of 2-(4-oxo-3-phenethyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-ylthio)-N-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl) acetamide is reported. FT-IR and FT-Raman wavenumbers were compared with the theoretical values obtained from DFT calculations. Theoretical values agree well with the experimental values. Molecular electrostatic potential, frontier molecular orbital analysis and nonlinear optical properties were investigated using theoretical calculations.

The design, synthesis and pharmacological activities of a group of 5,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2,4-dione bearing anilide, phenacyl and benzylidene fragments227 were reported. The prepared 5,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2,4-dione derivatives were evaluated in vivo for anti-inflammatory, analgesic activities and in vitro for COX-1/2 inhibition assay.
