The course is tailored to introduce chemical kinetics on experimental and theoretical basis. Kinetic parameters involving order of reaction, rate constant, activation energy and related parameters will be presented. In addition, the use of kinetic methods in quantitation will be elaborated and the link between mechanism and reaction kinetic is highlighted.

This students will be subjected to the application of absorption and emission (fluorescence) spectroscopy. The photolysis of drugs will be also studied. The use of chemical derivatization in both absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy will be conducted.

This course covers the principles of separation of compounds and methods used therefore. Emphasis will be concentrated on liquid chromatography and its application to pharmaceutical compounds, either in dosage forms or biological fluids.

his course is designed to provide the students with the skills necessary to choose the appropriate computer program for the analysis and interpretation of drug quality control data. The course comprises an introduction to the relevant statistical methods in addition to the interactive software computer package programs utilized fro solving the various statistical formulas.
